To obtain the REAS code, please send me a message. Please shortly indicate the context in which you plan to use the REAS code. I will then provide you with an account to the restricted download page as soon as possible. Please excuse this somewhat complicated procedure - it is necessary to keep an overview of who is working with the code in case important changes or bug fixes have to be communicated. After you have received your credentials, you can download the source code files.

The current version of REAS is REAS 3.10. For information on the physics, please check the REAS3 article.

REAS3.10 will work with CORSIKA versions 6.960 and newer. To generate histograms suitable for use with REAS3.10, you will need to use COAST v4 as provided for download here. (REAS will not work with COAST versions included in the CORSIKA distribution.) Histograms generated with COAST v4r1 will work, but for better simulation quality, histograms generated with COAST v4r2 are highly recommended.

Please consult the REAS3.10 manual for further information, in particular on changes with respect to earlier versions.

If you want to reproduce results derived with REAS3.00, you can still download it here. Please note that REAS3.00 is not compatible with COAST v4r2, you must use COAST v4r1 to generate the histograms!

Additionally, you can still download REAS 2.59. Keep in mind, however, that the radiation model in REAS2.59 is not complete. REAS2 will work with CORSIKA versions as of 6.5 and before 6.960. Please note that you need to use COAST v3 to generate histograms suitable for REAS2.
